Caring for Others
Fraser Valley Aboriginal Children and Family Services Society (FVACFSS) provides services in a culturally appropriate and holistic manner with the overriding goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of children. It involves assessing, recruiting, training, supporting, and developing a range of resources to serve children in care.
FVACFSS recognizes the importance of preserving the cultural identity of Aboriginal children and maintaining their ties and attachment to extended family. We are committed to preserving and enhancing culture, individual dignity, integrity, independence and self-respect.
Your Support
Our programs are there to support children and their families in times of need and give them the tools and support they need for success. All programs are created with a cultural view in mind to reinforce and reconnect Aboriginal culture.
Connecting Culture
We regularly hold events for children, families, and caregivers.
While exciting and fun, our events always hold cultural relevance and are aimed at creating a deeper connection with each child and family’s self and cultural identity.

Your Responsibility
Under B.C. law you have a duty to report your concerns if you have reason to believe a child has been, or is likely to be, abused or neglected. “Reason to believe” means that, based on what you have seen, or information you have, you believe a child could be at risk.
